Two Day Painting Course Including materials
Based in my studio, Newton Abbot, Devon.
COURSE SIZE LIMITED TO 6 MAXIMUM
An exciting 2 day immersion into learning how to push the boundaries of paint to create energised, rhythmic, atmospheric depictions of landscape. Exploring dynamic approaches to landscape painting, I will share methods of application of paint, inks and colour pencil to build layers permitting you to scrape and vary the surface. You will discover how different elements combined can lead to balanced and dynamic atmospheric landscapes.
Each participant will initially create a number of small, painted studies on location (season dictating), experimenting with mark-making, brush work and colour - these studies will be your starting point for larger paintings.
A few of the techniques explored will be complementary colour pairings, use of sharp lines and marks to create edges and friction, tonal range and other painting processes.

The course costs £300 for both days including all tuition and light refreshments.

Each day runs from 10am to 3.30pm with a lunch break (don’t forget your packed lunch).

You will be required to bring some of your own materials. I will email a list to you prior to the course.
